Who am I?

Hi, I'm Amy!

Hi, I'm Amy! Caring for people, animals and all things living is one of my greatest passions. It's something I take seriously. From dogs, to horses to humans, it's in my DNA. My horse journey started with I began spending time with them when I was about 12 years old. My family got me lessons, and from then on I was hooked. I've learned a lot along the way. The journey of discovery is what brings me back to the barn every day. Even though I've been riding for 30+ years, the one thing I've learned is that I still have more learning to do. I love trying new things and seeing how they help the process. Let's share our journey!

Penny

Calliope

Penny

Penny is a professional show horse. She's an American Saddlebred and will do anything you ask, with grace and posture. If you boil it all down, riding saddle-seat is the reason I love riding!

Chewy

Calliope

Penny

Chewy is the old man of the herd. Well known in the industry he's an opinionated Morgan with a willingness to work and gorgeous front end. Chewy is semi-retired and spends his days swiping snacks, biting people, and occasionally driving a cart - which he loves!

Mac

Calliope

Calliope

Mac is another Morgan we have. A five year old gentle giant, with a huge heart. We do a lot of ring work, ground work and even trail riding. He's coming along nicely. He's a good boy with the desire to please and go where his rider points him.

Calliope

Calliope

Calliope

A KWPN (Dutch Harness Horse). She's large, has lots of chrome and has the movement to match the looks. She's only four, and still has some growing and maturing to do, but we're getting there.

    Saddles

    Saddles

    Saddles

We've gone from banana shaped Stubbens to Wintec, to Freedmans, CWD calfskin, and a Sankey. You name it, we've tried it. We've tried so many because great saddle fit is so important.

    Halters

    Saddles

    Saddles

A little bling for the herd. Every horse need to have a little extra sparkle when they're out in the field, right?

    Bridles

    Saddles

    Bridles

We use the Stubben ergo bridle for Callie. She has a large head and the extra support around the pole is helpful. Also a few custom ones.

    Pads

    Bridles

I like switching up the pads. This helps me find the right combo for each horse. I particularly like the Freedmans pads as well as the Lemieux

From the Equiband system, to a neck strecher or even just a traditional circingle, we've tried a lot. Always open to new tools.

We've always looking for a new training tool or system to help us along the way.
